    Farmville Weather 9/14/09-9/21/09

The weather in Farmville after the murders was probably a significant factor in the rapid decomposition of the bodies and the delayed detection of the odor from the street.

It was pretty warm that week. I live about an hour away. But the thing is, the house had a fully-functioning heat pump. In Virginia, most folks wind up using their A/C well into september and even as late as november some years. I know ours was still running full blast last september.

This brings up a good question, though. Much was written/said about the bodies being decomposed. From what I was told, fairly early on and at Mark's funeral, is that it's not that the bodies were decomposed -- it's that he smashed their faces/heads to the point they could not be recognized. When that part of the body has been rendered to pulp, yeah, faster composition of that particular part, but not necessarily whole body rot. Most families chose cremation as a result, but Mark was buried in a casket, though we had to have the service outside. It was a very warm morning, and the funeral home was unable to embalm his body. I remember staring at the casket and wondering if the gathering flies were after the flowers or something else...

Yeah Zig, it is exactly what I feel like. He kinda looks like a male cat huh?
    Name change.........
Started to call myself Peace Woman. Sounds kinda stupid calling yourself a girl when you are over 50 huh? Long story short, Peace Gurl was my daughter's name. I took it over when she was being stalked on line. That was years ago.

    Thanks PAX!
